Default flexscans meteor

I use the Meteor Flexscans, love um, I was wondering if anyone has a solution to making the beam a soft rather than a hard edge? I've played around with several diffusing methods, but got poor results. I was thinking maybe smaller beam angle with diffusion? Anyone? These are like the Rosco IQ scanners.

you could try wrapping diffusion around the mirror so it passes through the diffusion after it hits the mirror, that may or may not work, but it is worth a shot. You just need to make sure the diffusion doesn't hamper the mirror movement.

Hmmm...think there could be a reason no one's making a wash moving-mirror?
