Control/Dimming - ETC Sensor D20 dimmer modules

Hello, if anyone has ETC D-20 dimmers for sale it would be helpful to fill up our dimmer rack.
Also, how often should the packs be cleaned if ever?

D20 Dimmers can be purchased from any ETC dealer, however, if you want used, you should check places like gearsource and solaris. When you say fill up your racks, how do you mean, why is your rack not full? Also are the empty slots wired to raceways or drop boxes (or anywhere that the circuits can be used)? Oh yeah, please tell me that you don't just have open slots, but have Air Flow Modules in them!

As for cleaning, you should clean the air filters and the racks every 400 operational hours.

Yes there are Air Flow Moduals. When the architects needed to save money they started to cut dimmers and now all of the circuits cannot be used at the same time. See, they thought this was just a high school auditorium, its a community theatre attached to a high school middle school complex.

Like Icewolf, I'd suggest buying new additional D20 modules, and perhaps some CC20s also. I doubt you're going to find used modules for sale NOT in a rack or a pack, which will drive the price up. I know of only one case where Sensor dimmers were removed and replaced with another brand, and the venue has regretted the decision ever since.

No. But it does raise the question: Do you understand the whole system?

Please note that D20 and CCM are NOT the same thing. A D20 is a dual-20amp module. A CCM is a "constant" circuit. It doesn't dim, and isn't controllable at all--it's just a circuit breaker in a module.

Also, the price on B&H is high. Just so you know.

Not for nothing, but B&H (assuming B&H Photo, in NYC) is not listed on the ETC website as an authorized dealer.

I would stick with authorized to facilitate warranty problems, if any.
