Default lamp sockets for Strand and Kliegl instruments

Can I use the standard sylvania G9.5/TP22 lamp socket for both my mid 90's Strand ellipsoidals and some older Kliegl 4.5" Fresnels? They look the same to me but I'm not sure if there are any reasons not to.

I'm looking at these:
TP22 G9.5 250V, 1000W Lamp Socket-Replacement Light Bulbs

Thanks,
Jim

Yes. But the TP220 with integral heat sink is preferable, if it will fit in your fixture. OSRAM SYLVANIA - NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE TP22-XL and TP220-XL SOCKETS.
