Default Patching movers on a strand 520

I cannot get the movers to patch onto the second universe of a strand 520. I have 150 channels free, and all i am trying to do is patch in 2 studio spots into universe 2, they are address at channels 1 and 30. It keeps on wanting to patch onto universe 1. I have tried the syntax in the patch menu of 2.1@fixture 3*, and patch 513@fixture3* and i get the error fixture not patched. Also i accidentally hard patched a dimmer to 10% how in the heck do you clear it so it operates correctly?

"Hard patch" refers to plugging a circuit into a dimmer. (Thus Tim used the wrong term.) DPC systems do not have this. Inserting a fixture's male into a circuit's connector is known as "plugging."
"Soft patch" refers to assigning one or more dimmers to a control channel.
"Proportional patch" is assigning dimmer(s) at a specific maximum level to a channel. (In its 3xx/5xx software, Strand uses the term "scaling value," but the generic terms "proportional patch" and "patch at level" are still applicable.)
"Pin patch" refers to patching a multi-cable circuit into a dimmer of a Touring Rack, and happens inside a rack's Patch Bay.
"Fixture Patch" is assigning automated lights to the proper DMX address in the console.

Sorry i did say the wrong term.

From the side, we though i could try 2@1@fixture3
also i need to make sure output 2 is enable even though it shows up in the patch.
To unbury the dmx enable menu out of the setup menu you hit setup, then it should display something like console setup. So we will see next week, I am up for any and all suggestions.

ok....

To patch a mover on a strand console... its

Universe.Dimmer@Channel(@Fixture softkey) fixture number

so...

2.1@301(@Fixture softkey)3

Footer4321 is correct. When you patch a mover you put output @ channel @fixture Fixt#. So as he said: 2.1[@]301{@FIXTURE}3[*]

If in your attempting to get the patch to work you have assigned any other things like profiles to the channel, the best thing to do is delete the channel and start fresh. To do this, from the standard Patch screen: {CHAN}301{DEL CHAN}[*]. It will probably ask if you are sure, just hit enter again.

Hope that helps.

Perhaps Icewolf or Footer can confirm this?
I believe that you can do either when entering, when you toggle between the two you are just changing the view. I personally always leave it in universe format. Also, I can't remember how, but you can change the "default" universe, so if you are patching in the 2nd or 3rd or 32nd universe you can forgo the 32. and just do the dimmer number.
