Hey Gang,

I am new to this site. I am a TD for a small theatre in Utah. I grew up here and went to the Utah State University. I have been in theatre for over 25 years. Yes I am an old fart. But I found this site doing some research on inexpensive ways to build a lift for my trap door. If you have any good ideas let me know. One thing that I have learned in the theatre is you have to peg, borrow and steal sometimes.

Oh, welcome to CB! We will certainly be glad to offer any help we can, and welcome any help you can give us. Just so you know, we probably can't tell you how to build a lift as it crosses into some of the taboo topics regarding rigging, safety, and liability. However, I am sure there are people here who can point you in the right direction. You may try posting a more detailed version of your question in the scenery forum.
