I just came across controlbooth.com while looking for help setting things up in a new facility. So, does anyone know how far below a drop ceiling tile a light bar needed to hang in order to not be a fire hazard?

Hiya,
Welcome aboard! You may not get a lot of answers as a lot of folks don't frequent the New Member Forum, You may want to re-post the message under Lighting or Facility. In answer, however, ceiling tiles are inheirently flame retardant and I have mounted S4 fixtures directly to ceiling tiles that I made out of 3/4" ply. The bigger , more important question is how are you suspending the bars, how much are you hanging on the bars < load> and will your super-structure support that load? All of these questions would be best handled by a Rigging specialist, or an Architectual Engineer.
