    Default Hello from TX Pyro

    Hello All!

I'm from Dallas, TX and own Illumination Fireworks, a professional fireworks and pyrotechnics company. We do indoor pyrotechnics as well as outdoor aerial shows. My other company, Creative Special Effects, focuses on non-pyro effects. Right now we're focusing on confetti but other effects will be available in the near future.

I've started to work with more theatre groups and production companies for confetti and pyro so I decided to join this network and learn more and more. I always enjoy being a part of great events and it sounds like they are quite a few others with a similar interest.

Welcome to the booth! It is always great to have another professional around. As I am sure we have already noticed, we are a bit cautious as to what we allowed to be posted in regards to pyro. We just want to make sure everyone is safe and does not take a small bit of information and make a big mistake. The stock answer has always been "contact a professional". I am sure someone in your position appreciates that bit of advice.

I hope you enjoy your time here with us. Feel free to jump right in and start posting.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I agree 100%. We get a lot of calls from people wanting to know how to achieve a particular effect. Our company shares the same policy for giving out information to non-licensed technicians. However, we're happy to be the "professional" people go to for special effects indoors and out. I hope to be a reference to the community as needed.
