One of my favorite Theatre stories centers around Miracle Worker. Seems this freind of mine, a great costumer, was doing the show in Texas. Well the lady playing..... Annie is it ? The Teacher, had a REALLY thick Texas Accent. So, they're doing the famous water pump scene, She says, " That's right , Hellen, Water < she pronounces it wart-er, and it catches her off guard> (then signing) W - A - R .......T - E - R, Warter! "
Ok it's a lot funnier when you say it out loud. Did William Gibson write "Monday after the Miracle" as well ? 'cause honestly that particular show falls really flat.
