My school is prepping for the fall drama Dracula today we decided that it would be more dramatic if we had a angled platform comming off the stage and stopping somewhere in the audience (I think it would be about 8' from the stage, but it might be more). I am trying to figure out the best way to build the frame as we allready have the tops for the platform (we used them in shows prior to this one). I was thinking 2x12's a short leg for the front, a taller leg in the back and a peice conecting the two legs. all three would have angles cut in them so they fit together. there would be 3 of them. Then it would be faced in Masonite and the top of the platform would be put on. there also would be trap doors on the top of the platform and an exit door on the side.
Any suggestions on how to build/ comments on my plan? Thanks. |

Is there any way you could sketch up what you are thinking and post it, we have done many angled platforms at my school
