Default REMINDER: 700 MHz Illegal in the US on June 12!

Just a reminder to anyone out there who might be using 700 MHz wireless mics. You MUST stop using them on or before June 12th! The FCC sold off the 700 MHz band for mobile broadband and for new public safety communications systems a few years back, and the deadline is here.

If you have 700 MHz mics, you'll need to either junk them or send them back to the manufacturer (if they'll take them), and buy new units that operate below 698 MHz.

Thanks for the exact date - I knew it was this summer.

How do you know if your wireless devices are illegal?

Many manufacturers have a 'rebate' program going where you can get money back for sending them illegal wireless sets (after you purchase legal replacements).
