Repairing SM and PG 58s

First of all, I'd like to say that I'm primarily a lighting guy, so please correct me if something I say is incorrect.

We have several broken Shure Sm58s and a broken PG58.

The SM58 just has the wires disconnected inside the guts of it, they are broken in two about halfway between the hot-glue looking part (what is this called?) and the actual cartridge of the mic. Can I simply solder the ends of the wire together, or do I need to actually need to replace them? Also, will any old time of solder work, or do I need to do something special/ have a special kind?

The PG58 has wires disconnected from both the cartridge to the center part and from the center part to the XLR connector. What gage of wire do I need to replace these, and if it is something fairly uncommon, where might I be able to find this?

The final SM58 is missing the XLR plug, Cartridge, and windscreen. As far as I know, we don't have them anywhere, I found this in an air vent on the catwalk (?). Is repairing it financially viable, or is it trashed to the point where it simply wouldn't be worth it?

The one with the broken wires can be re-soldered with any solder. Just make sure its a good connection/not a cold solder. Heat shrink the connection.

As far as actually repairing an SM58, most people don't. We sometimes change out windscreens if its a high profile event. However, usually you just replace the mic. At under a hundred bucks a piece its pretty much a throw away product.
