Why are these amplifiers so overpriced?

They're like 200 watt amps...and they're like 1000? I don't get it?

Quality over quantity. QSC are some of the best amps out there.

Besides being very good amps, I believe the 302 is more than 200 watts.

They push out 200w at 8ohm
QSC - CX 2-Channel Amplifiers

They gave the model names for when it is a 4ohm load, which then it will be 325w.

Also in regards to OP, looking at the specs it seems it has features tailored to an install. Such as limiting Inrush current and adding tamper proof for installs. Also QSC has a great warranty and are a workhorse!

The CX series are specifically designed for installs, both Crown and QSC have offered the same basic amplifier tweaked for touring and install applications as two different models, and in some cases a cinema version as well. The QSC CX, PLX and DCA series are an example of this.

Also, the basic power ratings only mean so much. How an amp handles a real world load, reliability, sound quality, support, etc. also have much to do with the overall performance and value. In fact, there is much discussion currently about amplifier ratings that don't reflect the ability of the amp to deal with dynamics or complex loads and some manufacturers tweaking amps to get good specs at the expense of real world performance.
