While the FCC has still not voted to adopt the proposed ban for wireless mics in the 698-806MHz spectrum, apparently the licensed users of that spectrum are starting to be proactive in defending their rights, http://www.superlux.us/images/Verizon_Letter.pdf. It appears that letters like this have gone to a number of wireless mic system users.

Is is very important for users to realize that these letters are not a joke and must be followed, or Verizon can lodge a complaint with the FCC. If the FCC investigates and find you are indeed operating illegally, you can have your equipment confiscated and you could have to pay a fine as high as $11,000 per day per transmitter that is being operated illegally.
