We are about to do The Complete History of America (abridged) and it calls for some speeches from political figures a one point during the show and I have been able to find all of them except for Robert Kennedy's "to follow in the footsteps of my brother" does anyone know where I might get this?
Thanks Taylor |

You might join the theatre-sound list-serv and ask there - usually folks have success asking about speech recordings on that list. Other than that, you might try contacting the major broadcast networks and seeing if they have a copy of the speech.

Just in case you can't find the original and haven't thought about manufacturing your own, here's an easy recipe that I've used successfully --
* find someone who can do the voiceover * turn down the bass and treble all the way * turn up the midrange * and mix in a little static (example attached file) at low volume. Except for the Kennedy buffs in the audience, I'll bet you can make something good enough that people wouldn't know the difference.

You are not a sound guy are you?
Do you have a tape deck, cd recorder, MP3 player that records or another computer?

Install a program called audacity. You can use that to record any sound coming out of the computer. From there you can do anything you want with it.
