ControlBooth is working on stepping up the amount of content that is produced. We are looking for suggestions of topics to cover. Anybody have a question or want to know about a particular subject that could be addressed in an in-depth article?

Suggestions:
Tie together and add to the info that is loosely scattered about CB pertaining to LED lighting. Structure of a Theatre (Typical Management Hierarchy) Basic Sound Design + Speaker Placement How networking can help your theatre (Computers + Cat5/6 lines) The importance of establishing a relationship with other theatres, suppliers, rental houses Theatre Education - Is it necessary? The beginnings of Technical Theatre - From Candlelight to Gas to Electricity (For you history buffs out there) Styles of Microphones - pick up patterns and when to use which type of mic Now, yes, I realize there is a lot of info about these things out there - books, other websites, etc. but wiki-style articles can bring out new info. Also, combined with CB's high search engine ratings, we might be able to use this info to get new members!

How about an "Official Pronunciation Guide" of sorts? We have a very extensive glossary, but for the most part theres no information on how to pronounce something. Obviously, there will be a difference of opinion on a lot of terms, but even listing a couple different pronunciations would be better than nothing. For example, is it "Grand-muh", "Grand Emm Aye", "Grand Maah"? And of course, "E-ahhs", "E-ohs", or "E-uhs"? It could possibly be incorporated into the Glossary, as long as it was in a standard location and not just thrown in there somewhere.

How about an area dedicated to pics of shows, instead of just a thread. It may encourage more talk about the shows. Also if a member is doing a show another member has already done it will be easy to search for.

How about the topic of maintenance?
How to fix or repair gear and how to maintain it so that it will function properly? How to adjust curtains to the proper trim height? How to adjust and tension the pull lines for travelers? How to re-align the fleet angles after the sheaves have been kicked out of alignment? Rich
