Is there a world member map to show where everyone who is registered is located? If not, could there be?

Hmmmmm, something tied into Google World Maybe ? Not maps to people's homes but maybe a way to flag peoples "home cities". That might be cool.

I've thought about that in the past but never thought to suggest it. Found this interesting page for you to read Dave. It's a guy debating the different software available to put up a map feature like this on his website.

If the member map becomes reality, individual members need to be allowed to decide if their location will be included on the map. In other words they need to be able to opt out if they so choose.

I agree. It should be voluntary, and even if were just as rough as "I'm near this city of 100,000 or more population" would be good enough. The last thing I want is a bunch of yahoos knocking on my door raiding my liquor cabinet! Now you kids get off my lawn before I call the police!

Love the idea, but thought. I grew up in Michigan, went to college in Illinois, spent the summer in Oklahoma City, lived in Atlanta, and spent this summer in Wichita. In 2 weeks, I'll be moving somewhere else.
Would I get 5 pins? Or would mine move each time I do? Or do you just pick the place you were the longest? Or the place you did the most theatre? Making sense? |
