Dave and I are working hard to get a new front page up and running that plays more nicely with the forum software we use. In the mean time, it would be very helpful to know what kind of content you want on the front page. News feeds? Articles? Reference charts/tables? Original content? Something else? What do you think?

News feeds are definitely good, the scrolling new posts thing was great also.

I like the scrolling new posts idea. I think that a news articles section would be good as before, as well as a BIG search bar that can easily be noticed to find old, relevant posts.

I agree with soundlight that a search box would be good. What would be even better would be if that defaulted to searching all posts regardless of age. I know that at one point there was an option to essentially ignore posts older than some defined period.

Alright, the search bar we will make more prominent and I will see about changing the default search options.

I'm not complaining, but I usually like to use the "default style" screen color scheme mode. (instead of Black and Gold)
And, in the default style mode, groups are not available on the menu bar, you can't thank people, and I think there are some other things that are missing.

I'm perfectly fine without these features (probably will never use them), but incase you wanted to know, and since it's kinda on topic...

I know that there are edits that need to be duplicated across themes. I've got a whole list of edits that I need to duplicate across themes. Why do you use the default theme instead of the standard Black & Gold theme?
