Star New Sub-forum ideas

I've been thinking that with our growth, CB should spread it's wings and start to separate out it's lighting subjects into sub-forums. I had resisted doing this in the past because I thought we were a little light on content, but that is really starting to change.

In lighting, perhaps a sub-forum for intelligent fixtures, programming, and design.

In sound, perhaps, sound f/x and wireless?

Any other suggestions?

I like Footer's ideas for the lighting forum, but I don't know if it would even be good to split to conventionals and intelligents...I would just be for seperate Fixtures, Control/Dimming, and Design forums.

For sound:
Equipment, Technical Issues and Installs
Sound Design for Shows/Sound Effects

As I much as I hate to admit it, we might need one for digital audio control surfaces.

I'll agree with that, a "digital audio" category would probably do well.

I would like to voice my opposition once publicly.

Also I still support the idea of a Costume forum.

Maybe we could have a Historical forum? (Ok thats just for me, derek and ship)

Please don't call moving lights intelligent. They are often anything but. I want obedient lights, not intelligent ones.

I too, support the Costume Forum. But it has never been explained to me why we have "Scenery" and "Carpentry"

A general "Theatre History" forum would be good, then we can take it over with discussions of Serlio and Sabbattini--I think they were seniors when I was a freshman.
