Thread Favorites?

Maybe there is already a way to do this, maybe not.

It would be great if there was a way to favorite a thread to save it for later, especially for the summer as there is a lot of great info that I would like to use once school starts BUT in a month or two I probably will have forgotten which ones I meant to re-check. Perhaps a link along the top of the page or in the Quicklinks or UserCP drop downs? Of course, this may take up more server space that could be used elsewhere. I've created a folder in my Firefox Bookmarks toolbar, but it doesn't work as smoothly as it should.

I've noticed in the UserCP there is a section for subscribed threads, but I don't know what it does or how to subscribe, or if this will serve the function I am looking for.

By default, a "subscribed thread" is one to which you have posted. Under UserCP/Edit Options/Messaging & Notification/Default Thread Subscription Mode, one can set a preference of having an email sent to oneself whenever a new post is made to the thread.

As to "saving" a thread; your suggestion is a good one, but, for now...
One Method: Under ThreadTools/ShowPrintableVersion and save that as a text file.

Another Method: Copy and paste the permalink URL into a document titled "Favorite Control Booth Threads/Posts".

We've never, to my knowledge, done much with the "Rate this Thread" feature, so maybe if that remembered one's votes, it could be utilized to do what you want, but I'm guessing the process would use a lot of server resources.
