I was wondering, for those of you with macs (computers, not movers) who use iStats or some other monitoring program, whats the normal temps you see? For just normal stuff as well as more processor intensive stuff like photoshop& video rendering? Also do you guys see a HUGE spike when using parallels or fusion?
Thanks! |

If you use virtualization software or any other processor intensive software (photoshop, final cut, etc.) You should see a fairly big increase in temps, fan speeds and processor usage. They are all resource hogs.

26C for processor temp? Are you running it in a freezer with the fans at max?

for my macbook pro whenever I do any video rendering I've seen my CPU jump up to 200F, apparently though it's safe for mac's to get between 200F and 208F is what I've read. It still makes me paranoid though because my friend has an older pro and he left it on while he was at work while it was downloading, apparently when he came home the video card or something was fried just from it being at 170F.
My normal temp though is usually between 110F-120F.
