Default DAM (Digital Asset Management)

I am currently in the process of dropping around 15,000 pictures I have taken over the last 10 years into lightroom. Its a mess, timestamps are messed up and who knows what else. I am getting there though. I remember doing the same thing when I got my first iPod (woo hoo 3rd gen iPod.... 5gb!). So, what do you use to manage all of your photos, videos, music....

For me...
Music-iTunes
Videos-Still doing the folder thing, but feeding MythTV and XMBC
Pictures-Lightroom

Added to that.... what do you use to backup everything? Because you do backup... right?

I am using two 500gb drives in a raid one shared and a 1TB external drive. I also run Carbonite and Dropbox on both my desktop and laptop.

Photography: lightroom for now.
Video: folders
music: iTunes

For back up I have 4 terrabytes in raid five using carbon copy cloner. Then I back up to my two off site servers with the irreplaceable things, also known as my photography. I also sync my theatre folder there so that if I need anything I always have access.

I used to do most of my photo archiving in iPhoto with the help of iPhoto Library Manager. I have been switching over to using Adobe Bridge to manage files. I have been playing with Aperture and Lightroom (haven't picked a winner), but I find them really to just be glorified versions of iPhoto that add lots of extra bulk especially because if I am going to do any serious editing I do it in Photoshop anyway.

As for music and movies, iTunes. Simple and effective and can sync to my iPhone.

Soup or art?
