IrDA Drivers

Go figure, I am trying to use old technology on a new machine. Does anyone know if there is a driver for MosChip MSC7780 IrDA chipset for Intel Mac? They (moschip) list one for PPC mac but it no worky on an intel mac. I have seen a scattering of rumors of a driver, but have not been able to turn one up. So, I figured it can't hurt to ask here.
