This a Quiz or a question? This given news broadcasts and authors like Clancy are still using the term "Klieg Light" to describe stage lighting.

No quiz, just totally irrelevant, trivial nonsense.

Thinking beyond Strong amongst other things mostly now making follow spots, Lycian their main competition amongst a few others at all levels from DJ to ETC in grade. They do make or own other companies as I remember. Strong as a company if memory seves makes a few products, be it them or companies they own. Super Pooper is a trade name for the prime device of Super Trouper or the Gladiator would be another popular type.

Limelight... sounds like a good question of the day in that anyone of theater history knows what it is and should be advised against spoiling the challenge. This much less it would be a decent Q' of the day challenge to find the U-Tube reference to it.

Could also ask details about how such fixtures were used and the luminous outpot of them as opposed to whale oil gas or incandescent lamps. Bonus question would be what color temperature such lime light burned at. Given the "Lime Light" is so famous even still as a concept, what was it about it's output, color, color temperature and lighting position that made it so famous? Why is it that a civilian as it were recognizes the "Lime Light" term as something about lighting on stage. Where if any specific place does that name recognition come from? Could it be a movie, though for it's continued reference one would doubt that, where like Klieg Light did Lime Light such a term come into such memory it has not faded though like a century old now and so much has changed since?
