How Do I Replace/Repair Socapex Pins That Have Corroded?

I need to know If and how it is possible to replace or repair individual socapex pins without buying a whole new cable or replacing the entire end. If so where can I buy just the pins and how do I go about replacing them. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can.

Not sure where you can buy them (I've always had enough spare parts lying around when I needed to repair a socapex head)

Your best bet would be to contact the dealer that you bought the cables from. If that's not possible, then get as much information off of the connector as possible: brand and model numbers, etc.- and call a good theatrical dealer.

You may have to buy specialized tools as well- a pin inserter, remover and crimper set can run in the $500 range. If your pins are soldered, then you'll need a beefy soldering iron or gun.

As a note, you can send any brand of soca with any Brandon connector to LEX Products where they will replace the ends with their new over molded flex grip connectors. I have used them and I Am a fan.

With the corrosion problems that he is having that's probably the last thing he wants.

Depends if it is salt water corrosion or arcing.
