Since this area seemed a little empty, I felt it appropriate to start a discussion. And what's better than "What is the current show you're designing?" I'm currently designing "Is He Dead" by Mark Twain adapted by David Ives. It's an interesting farce with lots of doors in the second act. The major difficulty with this show is the complete set change between Act I and Act II. We go from an interior of a artist's apartment in France to the drawing room of a palatial home. So essentially we are building two sets for one show. As soon as I get the model and rendering done, I'll post them up here for all to see.
I'm currently working on "the Music Man jr." for a community children's theatre. We're doing a very minimalistic set, giving the impression of the town, rather than spelling it out for the audience. We don't have any crew, so I'm trying to make the scene changes as easy as possible, so the kids can do most of it. I'll also be designing the lights and probably stage managing the tech portion of the show. When i get some drawing scanned, i'll post them.
I am working on a production of A Christmas Carol, the musical, but don't worry, it doesn't open until November 4th. I'll try to get a GP posted, but it may be a bit before I do.
I am designing a production of "The Drowsy Chaperone". Theresa Theresa Brandon Illustration
