    Etc Expression 3 lost show

I'm not sure what happened. They only use the submasters for regular school events. I closed a show there last month and won't have another there until the fall. I left them with the submasters from the show. I'm just the guy to call if they have issues.I'm the one who programmed it. I I...

    Etc Expression 3 lost show

Got a text monday that the lightboard at the school had been wiped somehow over the weekend. Last was used Thursday. Board was purchased right after the expression line was discontinued and has had little maintenance, but functions fine other than a keyboard port issue(don't use it anyway).I'm...

    Camera recommendations for portfolio

Ended up getting the Canon SX 530 HS. Since I only do one or 2 shows a year, I need a good all around camera. I also don't have time during a show to be tweaking settings on a DSLR since I'm also running the lights.

    Camera recommendations for portfolio

These are what I'm limited to as Walmart is the only place to get a camara around here.http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=canon%20powershot%20sx530%20hs%20camera&cat_id=3944_133277_4468&typeahead=Canon%20Powershot%20SX530%20HS&facet=category:Digital%20Cameras&stores=3329

    Camera recommendations for portfolio

The last couple years(doing shows once or twice a year), I've noticed the picture quality has gone down quite a lot(using the same cameras), Not sure why.Looking to purchase a new decent camera this year. Looking to spend something between $150 and $250.Currently considerations are the...

    Star curtain help

Don't have the budget/material for that option. The director is also wanting to use the cyc for the northern lights so it's not an option. The original thought was to use the gobo's. There are to many sight line issues for Gobo's to work. There is a unmovable border in the way to project from...

    Star curtain help

I did search and came across a few recommendations and have decided to pursue the scrim with tin foil/sequins on thread options.Has anyone done this and has pictures they could share or input on achieving the best result? What kind of string is best? The scrim is about 8'in front of the cyc...

The set caught fire (or so it appeared)

Nobody has figured this out yet. After the closing night a couple weeks ago, I was told the backstage crew had seen smoke coming from the top of a piece of scenery during curtain call. They pulled the set piece off stage and the lead guy back there had gone up on a ladder and didn't find...

    Source for Altman Shakespeare Caps

I just closed the musical I do the lighting for at the local HS every year. They have quite a few fixtures that are down due to either bad sockets or that I've stripped the sockets out of(Starpars) to keep other fixtures(Shakespeares) going. There have been 3 Shakespeare caps that the studs that...

    Any ideas what this means?

Next question, How do I reset it? I've always dealt with the board and fixtures and as far back as a hard patch panel. I've never needed to change much in a rack before.

    Work light fixtures

The only space I've worked in recently has some 4' florescent fixtures as the hardwired worklights. They also have 4 scoops programmed into the houselights for additional worklights.

    Any ideas what this means?

Good to know, I was hoping for a quick fix. I only work in this space about once a year and I know very little about Unison systems which this rack is linked to. The former school principal/director knows the most about the system but that's not a whole lot and he hasn't been around much since...
