- After receiving my acceptance letter to Ithaca College while suspended from the ceiling focusing lights in my highschool I spent 4 years working towards a BFA in Theatre Production Arts: Technology with a focus in lighting and sound. After graduating from Ithaca I went right to work (literally 2 days after graduation) for the Holland America cruise line as the FOH technician on the MS Prinsendam. Though my official title was "stage manager" I handled all the sound, lighting, and projection needs of all the mainstage productions.
While cruising around Norway I was contact by my current employer, the Pioneer Theatre Company of Salt Lake City, UT. I have been the master electrician for PTC since 2006. We are the largest regional theatre in UT, and we have been proud to present some major regional theatre premiers including that of "Les Miserables."
I have also worked with some summerstock theatres, most notably, the Weathervane Theatre of Whitefield, NH. However, now working for PTC, our season runs on an academic schedule so I spend my summers at Indian and Forest Acres, a summer camp in Fryeburg, ME. There I teach some theatre, video, play guitar, and a whole host of other things.
In my spare time you might find me on the ski slopes in the winter and hiking, biking, and camping in the spring and fall.
