    New but in charge

I have been acting at my school for years and i am now a junior. for the past year or so i have managed set construction more and more. I have even undertaken large parts of designing the set. But i have been faced with something quite odd. I decided to quit acting and just do the technical side...

    Stage Makeup, what ya think?

I like how it looks. depending on how far away the audience is though you may lose the effect of the black eye and blood. like everything in theater from acting to set to makeup everything has to be over done. maybe using a little more dark colors and would help.

oh that sucks. my director was going to make me act for our spring play. i told him that if i had to act there would be no set and id just not do any tech. haha. he let me do what i wanted :)

    Set for Annie

yea good idea. haha well first off i would like to make it snow at some point or another. ive made some small models of snow cradles and what not. im thinking a snow bag is best, but i do not know the best material for this. the demo i have made is plastic, kind of loud when shaken or bounced...

    Scenery Q.O.T.W.-Building a Chess Board (11/6/09)

if my budget was low i would consider using pvc piping for the frame and supports. if no one was going to be standing or walking on the board possibly use a thinner piping but if people will be on it use about 4 inches. We have had to do that a few times at our theater
