Remember, cast iron cheeseboros and scaffolding clamps are NOT rated for overhead suspension or lifting. Only use pipe grid clamps rated by the manufacturer for a pipe grid application.

Combination PC/DMX cables keep a nice clean look on the grid, but you must be extra mindful of how many fixtures you can daisy-chain on the power side. Especially true with 14/3 wire. Check the total current rating and compare to the fixture loads.Be sure to get plenty of DMX-only cable too...

I second my colleagues. This is not a DIY or student project. You mis-time reweighting the platform and someone could die. You can’t replace people (or your job) after a mistake like that!

Well, the point of using PAFs to secure the internal spline is to avoid any shop pre-drilling... because we need to do it all on-site to avoid the cost of shipping the steel around, and to avoid the hours of labor involved in driling holes in steel. With PAFs there's no pre-drilling or even much...

Funny thing... we THOUGHT they'd be impossible to disassemble. Turns out a claw hammer and some whacks to set it on the nail head and they pull out without too much fuss.

Interesting. The units I have are all Medium Prefocus bases. I don't recall ever seeing an old grey Century Leko rigged to accept any kind of bi-pin lamp, much less the HX type. I've only ever lamped them with incandescent (burn base up!) or EGE/EGG halogen lamps. I would not think the lamp...
