    Session Recordings

Apparently this year they are recording a number of sessions and making them available for a fee. Anyone know if they've listed which sessions will be recorded or where I can find out?

    Casket Locks

I'm using casket locks to join 8 4x8 platforms together (16x16) and was wondering if a single casket lock on each 4' end and two along the 8' sides would be enough, or does anyone think I need more?

    Production Costs. Tech vs. Royalties

I completely agree that there is no real relation between the two. I am also a tech director at a high school and for our upcoming musical (**** Yankees), the set is easily more than the cost of the scripts. Then when you add in costumes, lights, and all the other "tech" stuff, it's even more.

    Elevator Doors

We did How to Succeed last year and I had the very same issue. What I ended up doing was using a 6'x10' wagon with the walls on each short side and the door opening on one long side. For the door mechanism itself, we used a single piece of track that was hidden inside the wall from which we hung...

    Management from afar

We used Google calendar for a rehearsal schedule. It worked great. Being in a high school, the kids are being pulled in many directions so it worked really well with seeing conflicts they had.

    Screen Door

I just wanted to let you all know how it worked out. We went with the fiberglass screen from Lowes. It worked perfectly. Ripped easily at the staples and we could get about 3 or 4 uses out of each piece of screen before having to replace it.

    Screen Door

Our director wants a screen door for the actor to fall through in one scene. I know this means we'll have to replace the screen every night, but we run just one weekend, so it's not that big of a deal budget/time wise. What material would be best to get? Fiberglass or aluminum?

Little Shop Of Horrors Dentist Mask And Gas

When I did a production of LSOH a few years ago, we got an acrylic globe (can't remember where though) and cut out a hole in it for the actor's head. This was then attached to a harness the was hidden under the costume. We drilled a few holes in the top and at the back of the neck to allow the...

Van, what your friend is looking for is actually a British police box, not phone booth.

    "Autograph" wall?

At the high school I work at now, we allow the seniors to sign a part of the wall after their final show. It used to be more out of hand, but we changed it to help keep it under control. Alas, we are running out of space. One of the directors wants to paint over the signatures, but I, perhaps...

    Haunted Venue?

Normally, I do not believe in ghosts, but one of the theatres at the college I went to was haunted. During a performance, our followspot (really just a source four) went out for no reason and came back on about 15 seconds later. Other people have reported hearing strange noises from the booth...

    Legging Platforms

The platforms are made out of 2x4 frames. The two heights are to represent two different locations. There will be kids on them (middle school aged).

    Legging Platforms

We're building a 6' extension for our stage out of 4x6 platforms. The height varies from 24" (SR half) to 40" high (SL half). How many legs should I use per platform?Any other general advice would be greatly appreciated too.

    Design Copying multiple cues

I'm designing for a dance concert using an ETC Expression 3. The order of the show has changed and I was hoping there was a way to copy multiple cues at the same time so I can put my cues in the right order.Any help would be greatly appreciated!
