Making fixture profiles is easy - locate a similar RGB led personality (the 'china' manufacturer is a good place to start). Select the 'edit head' soft button and reorder/delete channels as you need. However, as James said sending an email to the him and the guys at Chamsys is just as easy,the...
As we're a theatre hooked on to a school, we have to follow the Technology department's dress requirements when doing anything physical (building sets ect ect) - long pants, steel toes and a long sleeve shirt. If we're doing FOH, we have to wear the school's embroidered black polo with black...
These look promising, especially for fixed installs. I wouldn't mix a show off a touch screen, but I know people who swear by them...For $249 (USD) you get a 4mic/4line digital mixer completely controlled by a web interface. There are also 12, 16 and 24 channel versions available priced at...
Exactly - considering that several sticks of truss (including the one they're under) are being supported by the edge of the stage, I would have to be manhandled onto there.
See Gaff's post "Janky Light Hangs" for lots of information regarding hanging fixtures from threaded rod/dowel (sorry I can't link to posts thorough tapatalk)
Hi Adam,Can you specify how many dimmers you have in the chain?Provided that you have used less than the 24 channels on the scene setter, you should have no trouble putting a led fixture somewhere in the chain and addressing it with the next free dmx address.Cheers,
Sam.
Just a thought, but does code in your area allow you to run DC over AC wiring? We replaced out AC aisle lights with 12v DC leds a few months ago; we ran power through the mains wiring that was previously used, but were then told that we had to fish new wiring as we weren't allowed to run DC...
Hi all,Just out of interest, for those of you who do stage rigging do you fly tri truss apex down or up?The company I work for always rigs apex down, as it's much easier to hang movers from one pipe than two.Sam.
Old thread I know, but my high school regularly has 14 year olds running sound and lights - when I started there 2 years ago, we had a very technical teacher. A small group of kids, myself included, were nearly always up on catwalks, and more than once I was lifted up onto truss using the PE...
Hi all,
this is my first post so apologies if I get anything wrong.I've got a gig coming up at a school and I need to run power to the stage. The nearest 3 phase outlet is roughly 50m away in the bio box of the other theatre. As such, I have two options for getting power to the stage...
While this is just me, I stay away from the wireless transmitters/receivers that are built inside an XLR connector. While they require more cables, I have had more success with transmitters or receivers that are in their own enclosures.SamSent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
