I see your problem here. First you must look at the material that the screw is set into. The wood appears to be tight grained. Probably quarter-cut milled. As wood ages it shrinks. That is probably why the screw is stuck. If it was stuck in metal, I would suggest heating the metal around it...

Yes I know the main system control voltage was 0-28v Tom. The Performer was 0-10v. I don't have photos of the lab theatre board. I think it was 24 channels.
I agree on the preferences between this patch bay and a slide patch. This patch bay facilitated easier re-patching between scenes when needed. I never liked slide patches. I dealt many while on tour around the country.
