    Revolve plans

Advice-- spend extra on quality castors. Steel with encased bearings and hard rubber wheels. Key words: Strong, smooth, quiet and reliable.

    Laying a Marley dance floor

I have been a ballet stage technician for 30 years which includes 2 national tours with the Oakland Ballet Company. All of the comments here are valid. One thing about marley floors is that from repeated stretching and re-rolling causes the width to expand in the center stage area of the panel...

Balancing cable weight on counterweight system.

Last week I hung backdrops for a ballet at the Gallo Center For The Arts Rogers Opera House, Modesto, California. I was in flyhouse riggers heaven! This counterweight system is the most advanced I have ever seen. There are chains attached to the weight arbors that balance the cable weight making...

    Getting Out Screws

I see your problem here. First you must look at the material that the screw is set into. The wood appears to be tight grained. Probably quarter-cut milled. As wood ages it shrinks. That is probably why the screw is stuck. If it was stuck in metal, I would suggest heating the metal around it...

    Problems Laying Marley

I have been working as a stage tech for ballet since 1990. I have pulled thousands of feet of tape when laying down Marley dance floor. I have always used cloth dance floor tapes. Yes I know the main system control voltage was 0-28v Tom. The Performer was 0-10v. I don't have photos of the lab theatre board. I think it was 24 channels.

    Urgent Electrical Question

A real bad practice! It leaves open the possibility of power eddies, back feeding and phase overlapping. It wouldn't happen on my watch!

    Kliegl Patch Bay

12K had 6 holes; 5-20 amp holes and one 50 amp hole, which allowed three more 20 amp circuits to be added through a 50 amp transfer cable.

    Kliegl Patch Bay

I agree on the preferences between this patch bay and a slide patch. This patch bay facilitated easier re-patching between scenes when needed. I never liked slide patches. I dealt many while on tour around the country.
