The Los Angeles theater center is seeking Strand console programmers / board ops for The Encuentro 2014 Festival October 13, 2014 through November 9, 2014. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Program and operate Strand board (520i, Palette VL16, or Neo) as directed by lighting designer, assistant lighting designer, technical director, or master electrician.
-work with the ME to complete a dimmer check and fix any problems before each rehearsal/performance.
-Assist in electrics changeover between performances.
-Assist scenic / audio crews in changeover between performances as needed.
-Maintain a safe working environment at all times by adhering to all established safety policies and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-In depth knowledge of Strand lighting consoles
-Familiarity with theatrical process
-At least 2 years of experience as a professional lighting technician or equivalent training.
-Work varied day and night shifts, including weekends.
-High school diploma or equivalent.
