Clean up of True North snow fluid

We just bought two new Ultratec snow machines that use True North fluid. It is supposed to be just water and bubble. These machines are leaving a sticky film on everything. Any recommendations for cleaning this stuff up. I tried rubbing alcohol on some mic cables and it did not do any good.

What exactly is in True North fluid. I realize it may be a trade secret, but we are spraying this stuff on peoples heads.

Water and elbow grease, is the only thing I've ever seen work very well. The fluid is basically just soap. I've seen guys make a huge mess trying to use Simple Green and the like on the film.

Up here in the True North, we just wait until spring for the snow to melt. Oh, wait a minute... never mind.
It was almost summer one year when i looked out on the south side of the auditorium and found a snow bank with green grass growing all around. Turns out the December crew from nutcracker had just dumped the plastic snowflakes out the back door rather than using the trash can.

To make this post somewhat useful (but not really)... Normally I'd advise checking the MSDS on the product, but in this case that proved no help whatsoever.

Was there another thread here recently regarding faux snow accumulation? A Vegas show reports no ill effects to audience or seating using brief snow ten shows per week, for the past ten years.

I think that Vegas show also has good control of the air handlers which directs the snow towards the stage, with little to no "snow" actually getting into the house.

Did I spy that picture from the ETC Eos Family Programmers group by chance?

It's not precisely related to the snow fluid in question, but, a really cheap way to make it snow on stage is combing a 2 ft x [any length] sheet w/ holes on one side, a fly system, and a ton of potato flakes. The sheet is gaffed to two close together battens, and carefully raised up. When the snow effect is cued, one batten remains stationary, and the other is moved up and down a couple inches at a time. The potato flakes then fall through the holes slowly. It's a wonderful looking effect. Careful about saturated FOH light, as it will turn a white winter wonderland into a rainbow of snow.
After the effect is triggered, you may need to clean up fallen flakes from lights on electrics--lest you find baked potato flakes next time you focus lights.
