The footlight picture made me wonder if anyone developed a candle or lantern with 4 wicks would they have called it....oh never mind.

Think what fun it would have been to be an innovator in that period. Of course I did design and build some propane footlights for a Scout campfire bowl. Maybe I missed my time.

No doubt, but I am constantly amazed at the innovations we are coming up with today as well. Then again, I am a technology geek, from flint knapping to theoretical inventions.
