You could be like show choirs and use fire extinguishers, it works kinda well, not for steam tho
This is probably too late, but I just got done using Valspars metallic, it worked GREAT! Very Pleased
I think it boils down to more than that, you need to bring people in to shows they do know in love, but make them really good so they want to see the other stuff you do, the stuff they haven't heard...
You forgot one.... Let's just say it keeps Trojan in business
If you come pick it up in Fort Wayne, Indiana -- I can rent you a Steel Spiral Staircase. PM me if you are interested
I am also a technical director at a few area high schools and I work with a high school summer program -- in total high school involvement-- I've done:
Inherit the Wind
The Music Man
Jabberwock...
You could use the Apollo Right Arm I suppose.
Titanic the Musical...
I found it rather difficult when I had to do it. Fun challenge though.
Hang some curtains, put a ficus in front of the window, and maybe paint a sky on a flat and add some shingles for roofs. :-)
if you want to get rid of it and donate it to the high school, give it to the band, they can use it to re-string marimbas, vibraphones, xylophones, and other percussion instruments
I have all the plants and the table for rent if anyone decides they need them -- they are kinda awesome looking :-)
Put Aircraft Cable around them, hang them outside and make awkward wind chimes... haha
Use Rosco's Tough Prime Paint -- that stuff is great!

I think our budget was around 1k - we didn't do it on a revolve, we made it wagons that attached together -- it was actually very neat how we did it I will try to post pics if I can find them.
For real water, when we did "Eurydice" in the raining elevator, we used a series of Irrigation hoses that made it disperse like rain and looked great. dye it blue and angled top/back light will make...
if u have him break it once and glue it together with a little elmers, it should break in the same spots... thats the way a friend of mine did it when they did sweeney
I was designing a version of this, and one of our ideas that became the best idea, was instead of flying it (there was no pre-existing fly space) thing around the apartment were turned around and the...
Looks like an old Trouper
Hello again,
The theatre I am working at, isn't a big fan of painting the floor, so not many do it. For this show, it would add effect if we did paint it. The general consensus was to use a tarp....
I agree with gafftaper -- I would imagine the rules would be different for a ramp rather than a whole raked stage -- however i now know alot about rakes and their angles haha
I am currently working on a production of Sweeney Todd and part of the set includes a system of stationary ramps. What is equity standard or acceptable standards for making a stationary ramp.
Thank...
