Capture Polar connectivity..

I'm trying to use Capture Polar with Chauvet Showxpress (and Enttec D-Pro sometimes). I'm am a complete N00b so I can't figure out for the life of me how to connect the two programs. There is virtually no information on how to do so on the web it seems.

I have enabled art-net output in showxpress and checked the connectivity settings in capture but I have no idea where to go from here. getting quite desperate.

A place to start would be to offer up the operating system you are using. I am going to assume Windows 7 or newer. If it is a Mac variant then somebody else will have to pipe up.

Try installing the Windows loopback adapter and setting the interface to something in the Art-Net IP range (2.0.0.0/8). I use 2.0.0.3.

Try also allowing both Showxpress and the Capture Polar through the Windows firewall.

If that doesn't work then try downloading an ArtNet protocol sniffer like Wireshark or whatever a Google search finds and confirm that ArtNet is being sent by Showxpress.
