Connecting Capture to ION ole with same computer

So when I'm on the road I want to us the offline editor on my laptop to run both Capture and the ION off line editor on my computer. I have looked through the forums and tried different things but to be honest I am totally lost. Can I run both from the same computer? I tried different settings and I can't get any external universes to show up. I really tried everything and have just come to a wall. Thanks. I'm using windows 7. Also I use this laptop hooked up to the ION console and it works just fine.I've posted to Capture as well just looking for as much help as possible.

Which version of the offline editor are you using? Prior to version 2.2 you had to enable output to the visualizer in the shell; a step I suspect was often overlooked. As of 2.2 you just need to select the "offline w/ viz" button.

Yea its enabled. It's version 2.0.1.9.0.7

Does it transmit via artnet? You might need a loopback adapter.

Sometimes it's just connecting to a network that does the trick.

The OLE sends out network data - sACN by default - and the router or loopback has to return the data to Capture.
