Fumigation and everything

Well we are going to fumigate and was wondering what everyone thoughts were with this and electronics.

The booth will be closed as well as the dimmer room. So I'm not worried about the big stuff. I'm worried about the lamps, the splitters, and the movers.

It likely depends on the fumigant being used. Get a copy of the MSDS from the exterminator for all the substances they will be using. There will be a section on reactivity.

For instance, Dow Vikane leaves no residue and is electrically inert so it should have no impact electronics, optics, etc. Fumigators may also use chloropicrin (tear gas) or other chemicals in small quantities as a warning mechanism, since the fumigant itself may be undetectable.
