Mixers/Consoles Mixer output splitting

I am designing a patch bay system where I would like to be able half normal the output of a small mixer (normally just feeding two hanging mics to a dedicated set of side fill speakers) between an amplifier and my main mixing console.

My concern is about connecting my phantom powered mixer to the output of another mixer as well as to the input of an amplifier. I've read other posts about creating phantom power blockers, but I'm not certain what that would look like in my case.

Also, I've read about potential issues when hot plugging dynamic mics into phantom power if there is a momentary shared contact between pins 2 and 3. Does this mean that I shouldn't hot patch my mics with a TRS patch bay?
