Hey all,
I'm in the process of purchasing several new LED cyc lights, but I do not currently have easily available power on my pipe. I have an i96 dimmer rack, and Colortran does not appear to offer a relay module. My dimmers are also located upstairs from the theater behind several locked doors, so a wired switch is not a very realistic option since we won't be able to turn off power when the units aren't in use. I don't want to run the LEDs off a dimmer, for the usual reasons, and I don't want to leave them powered on all the time with a bypass circuit or overhead power cable. So...I'm looking for a creative method for powering them, but being able to turn the power on and off somewhat easily. I can't imagine this is unique to my theater, and someone must have a functional, creative solution...anyone? Help?
