Scenery or Off Topic? Wood butchery so trying here

Redoing kitchen and using butcher block counters - any preferences or
recommendations for dog bone connectors? Knape & Vogt vs Hafele vs
other? And maximum spacing tips? I'm joining two parallel with grain - 6' -
and planning 4 plus biscuits; using two connectors on butt joints -
end grain to parallel. (No mitres.) Maple.

Thanks to any with experience using these types of connectors.

Well, I guess no experience here but at least now I know a whole lot more than yesterday about installing the K&V connectors. Don't bother with there drill bit - get a forstner of correct size - and I found easier to measure and mark than using their templates. Interesting device.
