Simple VectorWorks Question

I'm having trouble with Vectorworks (2015). When I click Assign Legend To Instrument instead of adding my legends it seems to replace my instruments with the legend. They just disappear.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Sounds like your fixtures are just 'symbols' and not 'Lighting Devices' in VW terminology.
