Studio Color 575 dichroic deterioration

We have several Studio Color 575's (version pre 2000 and post) and notice that some of the colors are not consistent, specifically the magenta color mixing wheel and dark reds on the color wheel. Strangely enough we have noticed this occurance with some colors on our Technobeam I's, specifically the magenta's, indigo's, and red's. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this an artifact of dichroics with time or do High End Systems dichroics have this problem? Thanks in advance.

Old units and standard wear and tear, IMO.

I have 10 year old Studio Spot CMY's that have seen this, as well as cracked color wheels, and tons of other issues. I just this past summer did a complete overhaul of our 6 units, plunked $4,000 into some otherwise heavily used units.

I'd be calling Light Parts in Texas. They have complete parts at great prices as well as good advice on what's happening an why.

If the color of each individual fixture is consistent, that sounds like normal wear and tear. If the color that individual fixture mix to fluctuates it might be a homing issue. Either way I agree with SteveB that LightParts is a good source for parts and glass.
