Break the curtain

Breaking the curtain is when you fly a drape in to touch the floor. Then bring the curtain down an additional 3-8 inches,(or more) crumpling the bottom of the drape onto the floor. This is usually done to seal any light leaks along the bottom of the curtain. Or it can add a nice look to a main drape.
