Plug Box

Means of distributing power (and sometimes data) to luminaires. Similar to a connector strip, except all circuits are in one place.


Boxes using pigtails as shown below are not as common as those with flush-mount receptacles.

If not permanently mounted and connected to flexible multi-cable, is called a drop box.
