Production Manager

This is the staff member in upper management who is responsible for scheduling a production’s facilities and staff. They hire and ultimately supervise the production staff of a venue or arts organization. They create and oversee production budgets and calendars and are responsible for the entire technical aspect of a show. They can be thought of as the business end of the tech department. Their duties and level of management can vary drastically depending on the venue or organization.
