An ellipsoidal reflector spotlight, profile spot, or condenser spot having a variable focal length, often a field angle range of 15°-30°, and 25°-50°. Zoom Profile Spots (ERSs) are much more popular in Europe than in the US.

Also a functional of most higher-end hard-edged moving lights, often expressed as a ratio (4:1 zoom).
