gauge

1. A device (usually analog) for showing a measurement, e.g., temperature gauge, pressure gauge, fuel gauge.

2. A unit of measurement of sheet metal (see Wikipedia link) or wire (see AWG).


N.B.: My Firefox browser flags both gauge and guage as misspelled. Guage.com links to a directory of gauge vendors. Go figure!
