1. (aka "electrics groundrow") A group of
cyc or strip lights that sits on the
stage floor used to light a
cyclorama or
drop. The units are laid end to end to create a big row with all instruments focused up at the cyc or drop.
2. (aka "scenic groundrow") A low two-dimensional scenic
unit, sometimes with the top profiled, used to mask the bottom of an upstage cyc or
backdrop and any lighting fixtures behind.
